For Immediate ReleaseTue, Feb 15, 2022
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 15, 2022) – Earlier today, Caesars Entertainment, Inc. shared plans to rebrand Isle Casino Pompano as Harrah’s Pompano Beach breaking ground on a multi-phase project to expand and renovate the property.
In attendance were Caesars Entertainment CEO, Tom Reeg; Caesars Entertainment Regional President, Barron Fuller; Isle Casino Pompano Senior Vice President and General Manager, Troy Buswell; City of Pompano Beach Mayor, Rex Hardin; City Manager, Greg Harrison; and The Cordish Companies CEO and Chairman, David Cordish.
“Today’s groundbreaking finally sets in motion years’ worth of planning” said Troy Buswell, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Isle Casino Pompano. “These projects and the future rebrand to Harrah’s Pompano Beach will propel the transformation of our property into a premier gaming and entertainment destination in South Florida”
“I am proud to call the Isle Casino our partner as we continue to position the City of Pompano Beach as a preferred destination in the southeast Florida region,” said the City of Pompano Beach Mayor, Rex Hardin.
“Today marks the beginning of our reinvestment into the South Florida community,” said Tom Reeg, Chief Executive Officer, Caesars Entertainment. “Through this project, we’ll create a dynamic new casino gaming space that’s easier to access and full of amenities our customers are asking for, all under the storied Harrah’s banner. Harrah’s Pompano Beach is just one piece of a collaborative effort with The Cordish Companies to reimagine this area of Pompano Beach.”
The property, formerly known as Isle Casino Pompano, located just off Powerline in Pompano Beach, will rebrand as Harrah’s Pompano Beach and add approximately 15,000-square-feet for a casino expansion, including a parking garage and an additional 12,500-square-feet of outdoor gaming. The construction is the first phase in a multi-phase development partnership with The Cordish Companies of 223 acres, the largest post-COVID development in South Florida.
“It is incredibly exciting for The Cordish Companies to join our partners, Caesars Entertainment, and the City of Pompano Beach to celebrate this milestone,” said David Cordish, CEO and Chairman of The Cordish Companies. “With Harrah’s Pompano Beach at its heart, Live! Resorts Pompano will bring together casino gaming with best-in-class entertainment, retail, dining, hotel, residential, office, logistics and lifestyle amenities into one dynamic destination. Today’s celebration is an important step in advancing this game changing project that will provide thousands of new jobs and create a unique destination for residents and visitors to the region.”
The property rebrand to Harrah’s Pompano Beach will feature upgraded finishings, including new lights and flooring throughout, new restaurant space, remodeling of public restrooms, and a rebrand to the existing poker room as South Florida’s official WSOP® Poker Room.
The parking garage is a 580,000-square-foot, four-level structure that will add more than 1,500 parking spots and allow a 15,000-square-foot casino expansion. The completion of this project will ease casino access in a market with high temperatures and inclement weather and provide an expanded gaming area featuring new and exciting games. The second phase of construction includes a gaming terrace which will add an additional 12,500-square-feet of outdoor gaming and the construction of a new 14-seat bar.
Additional details on new entertainment, food and beverage, and gaming offerings are anticipated in the coming months. For more information, please visit: `www.islepompanopark.com/news/press-releases.
